시놉시스
명왕성이 퇴출된 날로부터 약 12년 뒤, 우리는 한태 다큐멘터리 공동제작 워크샵에서 태국 친구들을 만났다. 한국과 태국은 2시간의 시차가 존재하듯, 우리의 기억에도 시차가 있다. 어느 날, 건희의 엄마가 일을 시작했다. 어이의 아빠는 직장을 잃었다. 각자의 궤도를 돌던 이야기들이 하나로 이어지기 시작했다.

우리는 시간으로 빚어졌다.
우리는 시간의 발이며 시간의 입이다.
시간의 발은 우리의 발로 걷는다.
우리 모두가 알고 있듯이, 조만간 시간의 바람이 흔적들을 지울 것이다.
무의 도정인가, 무명인의 발자취인가? 시간의 목소리가 여행을 이야기 한다.
<시간의 목소리> 중 ‘시간이 말하다’
한태 다큐멘터리 공동제작 워크샵에서 태국청년들을 만났다. 태국 청년과 한국 청년인 우리가 과거와 현재를 어떻게 공유할 수 있을지 고민하다가 IMF에 대한 유년시절의 기억에 접점이 있었다. 우리는 IMF의 여파 속에서 존재했음에도 불구하고 IMF라고 불리는 세대라고 불리지 않는다. 호황기를 누려본 적 없는 청년들의 경제위기 속 만연한 무기력과 불안감의 풍경을 바라보고자 한다. 우리에게 지병처럼 달라붙어있는 암울했던 시기. 그 기점을 전후로 태어난 서울과 방콕 도시청년들은 현재 어떤 모습으로 살아가고 있는지 알아보고 싶어졌다. 멀고도 가까운 아시아의 청년들의 모습을 도시 속 풍경에서, 그들의 얼굴 속 표정에서, 그리고 그들의 말 속에서 지나온 시간과 도래할 미래를 가늠해본다. 우리는 서로 어떤 과거와 현재를 공유할 수 있을까? 나아가 어떤 미래를 꿈꿀 수 있을까? IMF 이후의 사회적 사건들이 개인의 타임라인과 어떻게 연결하려는 시도이다.
Synopsis
About 12 years after Pluto was expelled, we met Thai friends in 60 years of diplomatic relations between Korea and Thailand, the Joint Workshop Production of Documentary. Just as there is a two-hour time difference between Korea and Thailand, there is a time difference in our memories. One day, Geon Hee's mother began the work. Eoi father lost his job. Each orbit of the stories began to lead to one.
Director’s Statement
“We are made of time.
We are its feet and its voice.
The feet of time walk in our shoes.
Sooner or later, we all know, the winds of time will erase the tracks.
Passage of nothing, steps of no one? The voices of time tell of the voyage.”

We met a group of Thai youths at the Joint Workshop Production of Documentary. Thai and South Korean youth are thinking about how we can share the past and present. There was a common ground in childhood memories of the Asian Financial Crisis. We are not called an IMF generation even though we existed in the aftermath of the Asian Financial Crisis. We want to look at the scene of rampant lethargy and insecurity in the midst of the economic crisis of young people who have never enjoyed a boom period. We want to find out what Seoul and Bangkok city youths, who were born before and after that period doing now. We measure between the time that has passed and the coming future through the images of young people in Asia, far and near, from urban landscapes, from their facial expressions, from their words. What past and present can we share with each other? What future can we dream of? It is an attempt to connect post-Asian Financial Crisis social events with the personal timeline.
